Determined to have a good time, Clementine put on a smile and tried her best to give Mr Aubrey a clean slate. She took the offered potatoes and then passed them on to the woman she sat next to. Yes, sir, I had just gone in. I was and still am in need of a new book. I have read my modest collection of books a dozen times at least... To answer you question, I prefer fictional tales. Romance and poetry, I suppose is my favorite though I will read anything upon suggestion." She paused and took a sip of her wine, then looked at him for the first time since she noticed him at the party. He was rather handsome, and she rather liked his eyes. Generally she didn't much care for brown eyes, but his were interesting, there was a lot behind them, she only wished she could read them as easily as a book. "And you sir? Might inquire as to why you were there?" She dared not make a remark about how angry he was, that was bound to stir up some disagreeable feelings. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Lucius grinned and helped her to her seat, then took his place next to her before replying. "How could I forget? I remembered great feelings of fear. Fear of waking from such a dream. I finally had pinch my arm to make sure I was awake." he said with a laugh. "I was remarkably happy you agreed to dance with me and that I was not dreaming."

((Lyric - this thread has kinda been abandoned - and I am at fault. Would you like us to just assume Gil and Temperance got on like crazy and start a new thread? I will be sure to be more attentive - muse has been low up until now))
